Here at Heartland we believe kids are a big deal. We've got at most 936 weeks to invest into a kids life from birth to graduation and what matters most is each of their lives. In other words- when we see how much time we have left, we tend to do more with the time we have now!
As a church, we are committed to pouring into the lives of kids with everything we've got. Think about it for a second- 100 years from now, what will matter? Not much- other than how we've impacted lives who in turn will impact lives!
We have a ton of options to help your kid find a place they belong, are loved, and are given everything we possibly can to help them grow in Christ-likeness. Sunday mornings we offer age graded Sunday School classes led by amazing folks who love kids and love Jesus. Our kids are learning where Jesus is in every inch of the story of Scripture through the Gospel Project- meaning that in three years they will have walked through all of the Bible once gaining an understanding of the big picture of faith while being saturated with the gospel! Then during our worship service, we invite kids in K-4th grade to head to Children's Church, a high energy adventure of faith designed just for them that reinforces or introduces the big picture of each week's Scripture!
As a matter of safety, every Heartland Kids volunteer has passed a full background check and completed comprehensive training because we believe that anything happening to one kid is one too many!
But, even more important, is what happens at home. Parents are the single greatest influence on their kids! Each week your kid will bring home a sheet that includes discussion starters and a family activity as well as Big Picture cards that reinforce the message of each week so families can walk through their kids path of discipleship.
